The Field Winter Carnival kicked off last night with big smiles and equally big funding announcements. The Field Regional Economic Development (F.R.E.D.) group received a One Hundred Thousand dollar donation from Caisse Populaire Alliance as well as a Forty-Five thousand dollar monetary donation and Fifteen thousand “in kind” donation from the Municipality of West Nipissing for the construction of a roof for their outdoor rink. The carnival continues all weekend with hockey and volleyball tournaments, dances, penny sale, and many other family friendly activities.
