The third suspect in a late September home invasion has been arrested and charged.
In the early morning on September 25, three people forced their way into a motorhome on Nipissing Street, confronted the occupants and assaulted one of the residents. The suspects then fled the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital and treated with non-life-threatening injuries.
The police had previously arrested a 24-year-old Sturgeon Falls man and a 52-year-old Sturgeon Falls man in relation to the home invasion.
Earlier this morning officers from the North Bay Police service and the North Bay OPP Crime Unit arrested a 37-year-old man of no fixed address at a North Bay residence.
He has been charged with:
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Aggravated Assault
- Break, Enter Dwelling House – commit an indictable offence
- Disguise with Intent
- Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay.
