Council meeting pushed back

If things in West Nipissing seemed to be at a standstill last week, one can forgive you for thinking that because the IPM took up a lot of resources.

As the community tries to awake itself from the aftermath of the IPM, one part of the community locals will have to wait just a bit longer on is West Nipissing council.

September 17 was supposed to be a council night, but that was opening night of the IPM, with September 24 being the next available night. However, that will be pushed back to October 1.

“We will need staff to put the agenda together but if they are tied up on other issues that will prevent them from doing it, we will wait to see how it goes,” Mayor Joanne Savage said in late August.

The last meeting of council was held on September 10.
