Workers want ONTC sale of Ontera called off

As ONTC workers and management work on a survival plan for the transportation agency, there’s a request from the workers.  Union spokesman Brian Kelly wants the government to stop firms from looking to buy Ontera, the communications division of Ontario Northland.  Kelly says Bell Alliant is eyeing Ontera and that’s a big concern.  It’s because Bell Alliant has a history of buying up assets and then transferring most of the jobs to Quebec.  Kelly says for the parties to come up with a workable sustainability plan for the ONTC, everyone needs Ontera’s ongoing revenue stream.
