West Nipissing Lynx

February 23 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

$10

The West Nipissing Lynx have concluded yet another regular season!

With 2 wins in their last 2 games this weekend against the Almaguin Spartans and the South Muskoka Shield, the Lynx finish off the year with a record of 20-19-3, good enough for sixth place in the North Division.

In its third season since its inaugural inception back in 2016-2017, the Lynx managed to once again keep breaking its own records for regular season wins, points, and positioning!

With the regular season now completed, the Lynx shift their focus to the playoffs and get ready to face the third seed, and cross province rivals, the Temiscaming Titans in a first round best of 3 series!

Game 1 @ Titans Friday Feb. 22nd 8:00 PM;
Game 2 vs. Titans Saturday Feb. 23rd 7:30 PM;
Game 3 @ Titans Sunday Feb. 24th 7:00 PM (if necessary).

Here are the results from the games between both teams this season:

Oct. 27 @ Titans: 4-3 OTL
Nov. 8 @ Titans: 8-1 L
Nov. 24 vs. Titans: 6-1 L
Jan. 4 vs. Titans: 12-4 L
Feb. 1 @ Titans: 6-5 OTW
Feb. 9 vs. Titans: 4-3 L

The Lynx ended the year with a 1-4-1 record against the Titans but they finished the year strong with a victory in its game two weeks ago along with a loss in the last minute of the game last weekend.

All other matchups in the North Division are set and are as follows:

(1) Bradford Rattlers vs. (8) X*
(2) Ville-Marie Pirates vs. (7) Bradford Bulls
(3) Temiscaming Titans vs. (6) West Nipissing Lynx
(4) New Tecumseth Civics vs. (5) Almaguin Spartans

*The 8th seed will be determined by two single elimination games. The first will see the 9th place South Muskoka Shield take on the 10th place Ottawa Sharpshooters on Monday and the winner of this game will then travel to take on the 8th place Meaford Knights on Tuesday. The winner of that game then takes over the 8th seed.

Make sure to arrive at Saturday’s game early as the last two meetings against the Titans were nearly sold out to capacity!

Our Platinum Sponsor SIMCOE will be on hand once again and will hand out special Go Lynx Go thunder-sticks to make sure the fans are as loud as they can be to cheer on the team!

We will also be selling raffle tickets for a pair of tickets to a second NHL game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the New York Rangers held in Toronto, ON on Saturday March 23rd, 2019!

Come out and cheer on your Lynx as they start the journey towards a Russell Cup!

Note: Regular Season Passes are not valid for playoffs. Tickets are $10 per person and children under 10 years of age are free when accompanied by an adult.
