The school year may have just finished last week, but Nipissing-Parry Sound Student Transportation Services (NPSSTS) is already getting set for next year.
Registration for their first-time riders’ safety program is underway.
There are five daily sessions, from Aug 11-15 in North Bay with three sessions a day Aug. 12-13 in West Nipissing.
NPSSTS says the First Rider Program is designed to familiarize JK students and older grades with the school bus and to help them overcome any fears they may have.
“Children and parents will also learn about school bus safety procedures, including how to safely get on and off the bus,” states their website.
