Traffic stop in West Nipissing leads to charges

Two people are facing drug-related charges after a traffic stop in Sturgeon Falls.

The Nipissing West OPP says a vehicle was pulled over on Front Street just after 2:30 Tuesday morning, with a search resulting in suspected methamphetamine, cocaine and other drugs being seized.

A 55-year-old West Nipissing resident and a 40-year-old from Sudbury both face three counts each of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Other charges filed against the West Nipissing resident include driving while suspended while the passenger was also charged with failing to comply with a probation order and not wearing a seatbelt.
