A North Bay man has been charged with attempted murder.
That’s according to the North Bay Police Service, who says officers received a call from paramedics on Sunday (March 10) morning just after 7 about a man was stabbed several times on Massey Drive in the city.
Through an investigation, the service says the accused, who is known to the victim, began stabbing them after a brief altercation and fled the residence.
With help from the OPP K-9 Unit, the accused was identified and a warrant was issued for their arrest. They were arrested in the early morning hours yesterday (March 12).
The 30-year-old was charged with:
- One count of Attempt Murder
- One count of Assault with a Weapon
- One count of Weapons Dangerous
- Two counts of Breach of Probation
He was remanded into custody after a bail hearing.
The victim remains in hospital in stable condition.
