Six of seven bison back home, safe and sound

UPDATE: The last bison has returned home.

It looks like the Bison who have been on the lam in West Nipissing since mid-December are just about all back home.

The OPP reported back on Dec. 16 that an officer responded to a single motor vehicle collision on HWY 64 in West Nipissing, after a vehicle had hit a bison from a local farm.

Since then, many community members have aided in finding and corralling the large animals. 

Some of the volunteers have been documenting the community’s efforts on the Sturgeon Falls Facebook Group page. Last night, an update was shared saying six of the seven bison are now back home, safe and sound.
