A River Valley man is facing charges after police found him unresponsive and slumped over the steering wheel.
Police received the call Friday afternoon about the man, whose vehicle was parked on Main Street.
Police say after speaking with the driver they noticed he was under the influence of a drug, and a small amount of methamphetamine was seized.
The 33-year-old was charged with:
Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs, contrary to section 320.14(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC); and
Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Methamphetamine, contrary to section
He was released and will appear at the Sturgeon Falls Court in January. Â
He was issued a 90-day licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
