The Ontario government says testing for COVID-19 will soon be available for anyone showing symptoms.
In a tweet this morning, Health Minister Christine Elliott said testing in long-term care homes is almost done and will be expanded to senior’s homes and shelters.
She also said that expanding testing to anyone with symptoms will monitor shifts in community spread and help keep Ontarians safe.
As we plan for a gradual reopening, today the Chief Medical Officer of Health will expand #COVID19 testing guidelines so that anyone with symptoms can be tested. Doing so will help identify and contain new cases and monitor any shifts in community spread to keep Ontarians safe.
