A Callander man is facing charges for child luring following an undercover investigation by North Bay Police. A police investigator went undercover as a 13-year-old boy and it’s alleged that a 64-year-old man inappropriately communicated with him. He now faces four child luring charges. The investigation is ongoing.
North Bay Police charged Scott Stewart, age 64, of Callander with:
One count of luring a child who the accused believes is under the age of 16 years for the purpose of facilitating the offence of invitation to sexual touching;
One count of luring a child who the accused believes is under the age of 16 years for the purpose of facilitating the offence of sexual interference;
One count of luring a child who the accused believes is under the age of 18 years for the purpose of facilitating the offence of child pornography; and
One count of making sexually explicit material available to a child.
