Driving a vehicle with a suspended licence has netted additional charges for a Sturgeon Falls man, along with his passenger.
On Sunday, an officer with the Nipissing West OPP reported seeing the driver, who was known to have his licence suspended, driving on Front Street in Sturgeon Falls.
The officer pulled him over and the driver was arrested. Police searched the car and say they found an amount of drugs suspected to be methamphetamine (crystal and pills), cocaine, and purple heroin.
The 43-year-old was charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Traffick in Schedule I substance – Methamphetamine (Crystal Meth)
- Traffick in Schedule I substance – Opioid (other than heroin)
- Traffick in Schedule I substance – Other Drugs
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Driving while under suspension
The 29-year-old passenger, also from Sturgeon, was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Traffick in Schedule I substance – Methamphetamine (Crystal Meth)
- Traffick in Schedule I substance – Opioid (other than heroin)
- Traffick in Schedule I substance – Other Drugs
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
Both of the accused are held in custody pending a bail hearing.
