New programming is coming to École secondaire publique Odyssée.
“We are very excited to announce that we are an IB school,” Ashli Lewis, the principal at Odyssée said. “We were a candidate school for many years and we put in a lot of time and effort as a staff and board to get to this point.”
The IB, or International Baccalaureate is a program designed to change how you learn. It helps to take students to another level and teach them to take things further. There is also diploma programming that is in-depth at an international level.
“It’s a program that’s being offered like many others,” Lewis explained. “This just takes things to a global level where we can have students making contacts throughout the world and learning and doing things at an international level.”
“We are the first [French public] school in the area to provide this,” Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario Trustee Jules Duchesne stated. “We believe this will put Odyssee on top of its information and technology highway.
