Time is almost up to apply for the CAO of the Nipissing DSSAB.
The deadline is June 27th.
DSSAB chair Mark King says once the deadline passes, the hiring committee will get to work right away.
“There’s so much change going on, we want to make sure we have someone in place quickly,” King said.
The need for a new CAO became necessary when Joe Bradbury left the Nipissing DSSAB earlier this month to head the equivalent agency in Parry Sound.
King says the hiring committee will look at applications both inside and outside DSSAB.
“Once Joe announced he was leaving, I went around (DSSAB) expressing hope they would apply,” King said.
“There are a lot of tremendous people inside the organization. They have a full understanding of the region.”
King says understanding the region is a key to becoming the next CAO.
He says what the next CAO has to have is an ability is to understand how DSSAB works in the region and what’s lacking.
