West Nipissing police have charged a teenager under 18 years of age after another teen was assaulted and had his watch stolen.
Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the male teenager can’t be named, only the charges.
In this instance, the teen is facing charges of robbery, assault causing bodily harm, possession of property obtained by crime and mischief.
Police got a call late afternoon on April 21st from a teenager saying he’d been assaulted.
Police determined the teen was meeting another person to sell a watch.
However, at one point the accused took the watch and refused to give it back.
Instead, the teenager was punched in the face by the accused resulting in some injuries.
