Two buses leaving North Bay for Tuesday Queen’s Park rally on health care

When thousands of people descend on Queen’s Park on Tuesday to protest changes to healthcare, the North Bay area will be represented.

Henri Giroux, President of the North Bay and District Labour Council, says two buses from the city will make the trip along with 70 other buses from across Ontario.

Giroux says the Tory government barely gave the public a chance to provide input on health changes.

He says two days were set aside in Toronto for comment and that was it.

Giroux says no one from Northern Ontario was heard.

The labour council president says about 1,700 requests were made to speak on the proposed changes but those submissions weren’t heard.

The North Bay buses will leave from Memorial Gardens 6:30am Tuesday and arrive back Tuesday evening.
