West Nipissing police are trying to find the person who broke into a residence and stole a health card from a person confined to a wheelchair.

The break-in took place at 100 Michaud Street on April 15th.

Investigators say it appears the person got in by prying open a door window.

The victim told police he was sleeping at the time but was awakened by the intruder who he saw in the residence.

The complainant told police his health card was in a blue bag that also contained $5.

The suspect took the bag, which was sitting on the victim’s wheelchair, and its contents.
