FIRST Team 1305 now has its sights set on the provincial robotics championships.
The group of Near North students won the district event held at Nipissing University and is now preparing their robot Kepler for the Ontario crown.
The weekend win was the second time Team 1305 has won this particular event and the fifth straight district win so far this year.
In addition, Team 1305 also was given the Chairman’s Award.
This award recognizes the team that sets a standard other teams can strive for or surpass.
The teams all put their respective robots through a series of actions and judges determine how well the robot responds to the commands and execute them.
The provincial championships begin April 10th in Mississauga.
