The West Nipissing Police are investigating a case where someone shot a moose and left pieces of it behind.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is also on the lookout for the culprit.
The incident was reported to police last week on Tuesday.
A person driving along LaPlage Road in Verner saw the carcass and called police.
