It’s more accolades for Comfort Inn in Sturgeon Falls.
The hotel is the recipient of an APEX award, for achieving the highest guest satisfaction.
APEX stands for Awards for Property Excellence and the Sturgeon Falls facility was given the national award from Choice Hotels Canada which owns a string of hotels including Comfort Suites, Sleep Inn, Quality, Clarion and Econo Lodge.
It currently owns or is developing 340 properties in Canada and is the country’s largest hotel franchisor.
Choice Hotels awarded 12 APEX trophies nationwide for 2018.
For the Sturgeon Falls site, it’s the second time it’s received the award, the first time being 2016.
The APEX recognition also comes at a time when the local Comfort Inn has been the recipient of the Platinum Hospitality award for the last two years.
Brian Leon, who is president of Choice Hotels Canada says winning a national APEX award is not easy.
Leon says it requires an “extraordinary amount of dedication and commitment” where the hotel provides “the best possible guest experience again and again.”
Comfort Inn in West Nipissing has seen more than 202,000 guests stay at the facility since it first opened just more than 12 years ago.
