Inspector Ray St. Pierre says the West Nipissing Police Service is investigating two island cottage break-ins that occurred on Lake Nipissing.
One cottage in the Twilight Bay area was entered by unknown persons.
St. Pierre says a substantial amount of property was stolen, in excess of $5,000.
Among the stolen property is a 15 horsepower Mercury outboard motor, a Hyundai generator and some expensive fishing rods, reels and lures.
A second break and enter has been reported on the island.
St. Pierre says large batteries and dishes were stolen, adding that the culprits forced the patio door to gain entry.
