A North Bay area family wants to make it easier for volunteer firefighters province-wide to get to emergencies faster. So Tim Brazeau and his brother started a petition for a new law that forces drivers to move over for a vehicle with the green flashing light. That’s the colour volunteer fire fighters use when responding to fires. Brazeau says depending on the size of the community, a volunteer fire fighter can be on the road quite a few times. The Brazeaus hope to talk to politicians before the end of the year about getting such a law in place. So far their petition has more than 1,500 names.
