A Sturgeon Falls man has been fined $1,000 under the Public Lands Act for dredging shore lands without a permit. Last August, Roger Lamarche rented a backhoe and removed part of a rock wall that faced a neighbour’s property on Lake Nipissing. Lamarche didn’t have his neighbour’s permission to remove the rock let alone a permit.
