Personal support worker charged with fraud offenses

A personal support worker in Sudbury who used stolen credit cards taken from the home of a client faces 23 fraud related offenses.  Among the charges are 10 counts each of fraud under $5,000 and using or possessing a stolen credit card.  Police were alerted to the crime when a victim noticed his credit cards were missing and huge purchases were showing up on his statement.

Police say the accused bought about $1,600 in goods.  They also discovered that she created a fake police check for her employer in an effort to secure work with the support agency.  The other charges the woman faces are two counts of theft of a credit card and uttering a forged document.
