Safety board rules pilot not to fit to fly

A Sudbury pilot was no longer fit to fly his plane when it crashed last year in March.  The Transportation Safety Board found that Leo Arseneau had logged only 1.5 hours of flight time over a 16-month time frame.  Arseneau was taking his sick wife to Florida when he turned back in what was believed to be a worsening of his wife’s condition.  However on his return, he flew into dense cloud and lost control of the plane crashing in the Pickerel River in French River Provincial Park.  The crash killed Arseneau, his wife and care-giver.
