The only multicultural event in West Nipissing will celebrate women in music.
West Nipissing Mayor Joanne Savage says the Ladies in Waiting Festival will feature local known artists and artists from across the country. Savage says the organizers deserve a lot of recognition. She says they are really working hard at putting this together.
Savage says this is an opportunity for the community to support the group, have fun and enjoy the event. She says this should be the first of many events in the community of Lavigne, where the festival takes place in August.
Some of the performers include Crystal Shawanda, Sarah Smith, Faye Blais and more.
