Firefighters from MNR and North Bay combine forces to put out bush fire

Crews from all three North Bay fire stations helped the Ministry of Natural Resources put out a bush fire.  Conditions are very dry in the bush and deputy fire Chief Greg Saunders says it won’t take much for a fire to start and spread.

He’s asking people to be extra careful while in the bush.  Tuesday’s fire took six hours to extinguish.  Firefighters got help from two MNR water bombers from Sudbury.  The fire was at the end of Birches Road and at this time the cause isn’t known.
