Cook identifies goals as Nipissing University chancellor

Former North Bay police Chief Paul Cook says it’s now his job to help Nipissing University build partnerships.  That’s the goal he set out for himself when he was installed as the school’ fourth chancellor.  Cook says one thing Nipissing has done over the years is close the education gap with First Nations by forming partnerships.

The former chief becomes chancellor at a time when Nipissing’s research culture is growing, it’s starting new programs and its financial picture is getting better.  Cook says the university still faces challenges ahead but by working together, they can be overcome.
