Postal union president urges action

The North Bay local of postal workers is encouraging the public to get involved in the debate about restoring door-to-door mail delivery.  Keith Bradford, president of Local 576 says, among other things, it’s important that full daily delivery continue for businesses.  The federal government has begun reviewing postal services.

During the election campaign, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau promised to restore home delivery that the Harper Tories cut.  Bradford says in addition to mail, post offices also want the feds to introduce postal banking.
