Angus continues to fight high gas prices

More northern communities are joining Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus to get to the bottom of gas price discrepancies in the north.  Angus wants the Competition Bureau to examine if gas in the north is being held artificially high.  He says oil is at records lows and yet northerners are still being gouged at the pumps.

Angus says the price differentials can’t be explained by the cost of delivery alone.   He says this reason doesn’t add up.  Nor is he buying the argument that the low dollar is behind the expensive gas because when the Canadian dollar was higher, so was gas.  Earlier this year, North Bay and Powassan passed resolutions asking the province to start regulating northern gas prices.
