A long-time municipal employee in West Nipissing has retired. Guy Beaudry of Verner is calling it a day after 39 years of service. West Nipissing mayor Joanne Savage says it was a pleasure honouring Beaudry at council whose expertise was arenas. Beaudry started his career in the municipality of Caldwell before managing the Verner arena and then became manager of the Sturgeon Falls arena when the region amalgamated. Savage says Beaudry’s retirement is well deserved after nearly four decades of work.
