For the second year in a row the province has denied North Bay’s funding for Summer in the Park. And the rejection has prompted a letter from Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli to the tourism minister. Fedeli wants to know why Sudbury got funding for eight events this year yet Celebrate Ontario awarded nothing to North Bay.
Two years ago North Bay was given nearly $64,000 from the province for Summer in the Park. The Tory MPP says the lopsided awards has North Bay organizers questioning the equitable distribution of funds.
