Health unit issues Hepatitis A warning

The Sudbury and District Health Unit is putting out a warning about Hepatitis A, a virus that affects the liver.   Ten People in Ontario have developed the virus after eating frozen berries they bought from Costco.  The brand, which has since been recalled, is Nature’s Touch Organic Berry Cherry Blend.

The health unit says there are no reports of people in the region coming down with Hepatitis A.  The Sudbury health unit is providing free vaccines and suggests people outside its jurisdiction may want to contact their local health unit if the frozen berry advisory applies to them.
