A study on what people want West Nipissing to be will continue uninterrupted. The study is examining how to develop the corridor along the Minnehaha Bay and Sturgeon River. Mayor Joanne Savage says the consultant is looking at several points including tourism potential and issues the municipality needs to focus on. Council had to pass a resolution for the study to continue because it’s using federal money and the fiscal year end is March 31st. By passing an extension, council has lumped the project into the new fiscal year so that it continues uninterrupted.
