A 15-year-old from Chippewa Secondary is headed off to Switzerland as part of the District Rotary Clubs exchange student program. Hannah Bywater leaves for the Swiss nation in August. The teen will attend a German school while in Switzerland for the next year.
Over the years the young teen has done a lot of environmental-related work including saving sea turtles in Bali and orangutans from extinction on an island near Indonesia. Before going to Switzerland, Bywater will stop in western India to help build a school and work on a clean water supply for a poor community. Two years ago she helped build a school in Kenya
