For the third year in a row the Canadore Panthers have been named the best college – university weightlifting team. The Panthers had several athletes place in the top five including Chelsea-Lynne Jibb who captured gold in the plus 75 kilo class. Right behind in second place was Nipissing University.
In addition, two students from Chippewa Intermediate in North Bay have won weightlifting pennants. The students are Hunter Edmonds and Dylan Hall-Archibald. The athletes won the elementary school title in the Ontario Weightlifting Association’s Scholastic Challenge.
