The MPP for Timiskaming-Cochrane says hosting the International Plowing Match is a game changer for West Nipissing. The municipality was awarded the 2019 IPM on the weekend. John Vanthof was personally involved when Earlton hosted the plowing match in 2009 and says the Timiskaming area did well. Vanthof was part of the board of directors for the Earlton IPM and one of his office staff was a coordinator. Both are offering their services and past experience to West Nipissing to help pull off a successful IPM three years from now.
