Electric car super charges may come north

North Bay and Parry Sound are being mentioned as possible communities to house super chargers for Tesla’s new Model 3 electric car.  Tesla wants more charging stations and is looking north as it tries to expand the outlets nation-wide.  The super chargers can juice up the Model 3 in 30 minutes and would be able to drive 270 kilometres.  The Model 3, which is expected to be released next year, would start at $35,000, which is half the cost of its previous electric cars.   Normally the super chargers are put at hotels or resorts but Tesla can’t say yet where the ones suggested for North Bay and Parry Sound would go.
