Liberals back away from increasing seniors’ drug costs

Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli says it’s a win for seniors.  Beginning in August, drug costs for 92 percent of seniors in Ontario were going to double.  But Fedeli says the Wynne Liberals have now hit the pause button.  The Liberals proposed the increases in their latest budget which Fedeli says was met by strong opposition from the Tories.   The MPP believes the Liberals started feeling heat for their proposal from angry seniors and that’s why they back-tracked.  Fedeli says the Liberals didn’t research the issue enough and are now looking at seniors’ income levels before deciding their next step.
