A combined effort by police agencies stretching from Blind River to Timmins has busted a drug operation in Elliot Lake and Blind River. Raids have netted police $112,000 in drugs and $64,000 in cash. Among the drugs were cocaine and oxycodone pills. Six residents from Blind River, Elliot Lake and Timmins face numerous drug-related charges. The charges are the result of a three month investigation by various police agencies into cocaine trafficking in Blind River and Elliot Lake.
