Police constable suspended without pay

A North Bay police constable convicted for impaired driving has been suspended without pay.  Steve Taylor’s suspension took effect Thursday.  Meanwhile Taylor still has to go through a disciplinary hearing under terms of the Police Services Act.  A hearing date for that will be announced soon.  As for the conviction, Taylor, who is 40, will serve 45 days in jail.  The sentence will be served on weekends.
