MP Carol Hughes says the federal budget appears to be silent on how the Trudeau Liberals will advance the Ring of Fire. The New Democrat for Algoma Manitoulin Kapuskasing says she hasn’t been able to find where the Liberals stand on the chromite development.
She also says if the information on the chromite discovery is in another part of the budget, she hasn’t found it yet. Hughes says as a result, there’s a lot the public has been left in the dark about like what infrastructure will be used to ship the raw materials out of the remote site.
