You must be licensed to drive a taxi in North Bay.
The North Bay Police Service says they recently had to inform five people who posted ads online that the taxi service they are individually offering is a violation to the police board’s taxi bylaw. Police have warned them that if they are found accepting payment for a taxi service without a license, they could be ticketed.
Meanwhile… Police are reminding the public to only use licensed taxi drivers, because they are screened and their vehicles are inspected by a mechanic.
