Mild temperatures mean an early end to snowmobile season in West Nipissing area.
The North Bay Snowmobile Club’s Shawn Flindall says most trails have been moved to yellow and some are now closed. Trail conditions are rough, according to Flindall, who says there are exposed rocks and dirt. Ice conditions are also bad, with a lot of slush.
Flindall says this winter’s snowmobile season was eight weeks long. In past years, the season usually lasts between 10 and 12 weeks.
