North Bay could see more outdoor patios spring up at downtown restaurants this year. That’s the result of council passing a policy to allow outdoor sidewalk eating. Tiny Italy approached council last year about the concept and following a very successful spring and summer, the idea is expanding. Restaurants can access grants from the DIA to help them create their patio look. Plus they won’t have to pay a $400 application fee which was suggested under an initial proposal.
