Students in area schools take part in the Big Crunch later this week as we go through nutrition month. The big crunch is a program to teach young students about the value of eating healthy foods. On Thursday at 2:00pm, students and staff at elementary schools in North Bay, West Nipissing, Redbridge, Mattawa and Parry Sound will all take a bite out of an apple.
Leading up to the big crunch will be apple-related activities. Among the schools taking part are North Bay’s E.W. Norman, as well as Jeunesse Active and St. Joseph’s in West Nipissing, Phelps Central in Redbridge and F. J. McElligott in Mattawa.
