Three athletes from West Nipissing taking part in the national winter games for Special Olympians have come back home with medals. Taking a gold in the 200 meter snowshoeing was Jason Coleman. Angele Joudouin won silver in the 100 metre snowshoeing and right behind her in the same event with a bronze was Katie Lajeunesse. Lajeunesse also won a silver in the 200 metre snowshoeing.
