A North Bay man has found a stroke recovery program very beneficial. Philip McCoy says the Stroke Navigation program allowed him to get back to daily living following his stroke in 2014. The program was waiting for him when he left the hospital and McCoy says it was like a breath of fresh air.
The program creates a personalized recovery program for patients and directs them toward re-integration with everyday living. It started in Sudbury in 2011 and has since expanded to several northern communities including North Bay and Temiskaming Shores.
