Program lets stroke victims resume daily lives

A program under the direction of the North East LHIN to help stroke victims is producing positive results.  The program helps victims of stroke to adjust to everyday life after getting hit with the debilitating condition.  Spokesman Darren Jermyn says the project tracked 100 stroke victims across the northeast.

One of the program participants is Beverly Charles.  She says the program is helping her with balance and walking as well as problem solving and getting her memory back following a stroke.  Among other things the navigator develops is a personalized recovery plan for stroke victims.
